We have been very happy from our very first year here. Recommend this school to anyone looking to move to San Antonio.

Parent Review 4y ago. Jefferson Middle School. My son attended 6th grade at this school before we moved away from San Antonio. He was in all Pre-AP classes and they seemed fine. Until we moved, I didn't know how different another middle school could be.

I don't think I received one single email from anyone at Jefferson the entire year except for a few emails from his choir teacher.

He had a fabulous choir teacher who has since retired. The teachers in our new district send out at least weekly emails and don't hesitate to email parents for any reason. So, although I didn't realize it at the time, there was a definite lack of communication with parents on the whole.

My son experienced a fair amount of bullying at Jefferson. The vice principal called me several times during the year with "boys will be boys" types of explanations that didn't always sit well with me.

Downtown and City college only 2 miles away, woodlawn park as well as popular areas of activities conviniently easy to get to. Happy to see area being rejuvinated, houses are being flipped, and city investment in infrastructure has been consistent.

I spent final years as a teen here and In light of renewed interestvand investment in area look forward to seeing my kids grow up here. Neighbors look after each other and very friendly!
